John Kriskiewicz
A native New Yorker, John holds a professional degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute and is an associate member of The American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter.
As an architectural historian, John has curated and designed exhibits, consulted for corporations and non-profits, designed tours and lectures that reveal architectural history to a wide audience, while teaching courses pertaining to architectural and planning history.
John's affinity for Mid-Century Modern architecture can be seen most recently in his contribution to the documentary film MODERN RUIN: A World's Fair Pavilion, 2015.
Publications include; Introduction to "Manhattan Skyscrapers", exhibition catalogs, articles in The New York Times, Seaport Magazine, Architectural Record, Retail Traffic, DOCOMOMO_US_ New York Tri- State's publication; mod, Yale School of Architecture's publication Constructs.
On the topic of transportation infrastructure, John was the curator of the exhibit, as well as the research consultant for the companion book; "Subway Style: Architecture and Design in the New York City Subway". Lecture topics have included both "rail and rubber" including illustrated talks on New York's bridges and arterials, street furniture, parks, and the design legacy of the works of Robert Moses.
