- Rubel was born on May 3, 1968 in Tangail, East Pakistan [now in Bangladesh]. He is an actor and director, known for Bichchu Bahini (2001), Ondhokare Chita (2003) and Khuner Porinam (2003).
- Consecutive champion of Bangladesh National Karate Championship in 1982 and 1983. Because of his experience in modern martial arts, Rubel's debut film Loraku (1986) was heavily focused on Kung Fu.
- Rubel's debut film was Loraku (1986), directed by Shahidul Islam Khokon and produced by Rubel's elder brother Sohel Rana.
