Juan Pablo Daranas Molina

Juan Pablo Daranas Molina is a Cuban and American filmmaker based in New York City and Rome. He is the founding director of FILA20, one of Cuba's first independent production collectives, whose films have screened at Venice, Sundance, Warsaw, Glasgow, New Orleans, Rooftop Films, and HollyShorts. Juan Pablo has written and directed films for Galleria Continua, Louis Vuitton, MoMA, and the Bronx Museum of Art. He is an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, New York University-Tisch, where his MFA thesis film was executive-produced by Spike Lee. Juan Pablo has been selected for the NYU Purple List, the NYU Production Lab Development Studio, Berlinale Talents, La Residenza, and the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards.
