  • Ricardo Burgos is a Brazilian actor and writer, born in Salvador, Brazil, and a dual Brazilian-Italian citizen. Known for his versatility and striking presence, he works across film, television, and theater between Brazil and Europe.

    He was in the prime-time TVI telenovela Terra Forte, playing the complex villain Cobra César opposite Portuguese star Rita Pereira. He also appeared in Globo's Mania de Você and will make his streaming debut on Max (HBO) with the upcoming series Dona Beja in January 2026.

    Burgos is the creator and host of the podcast Perspectiva, which has featured acclaimed guests such as Carol Castro, Bukassa Kabengele, Emiliano D'Ávila, Fábio Mendes, Lorena Comparatto, Mauro Lima, and Nabiyah Be.

    Earlier in his career, he rose to prominence performing over 100 shows with the revival of the legendary 1970s group Dzi Croquettes, earning acclaim for his standout portrayal of Brazilian icon Maria Bethânia. He played the antagonist in the feature film After the Rain, which was covered by Variety and IndieWire and selected at major festivals including Cannes, with a screening at the American Film Institute in New York City.

    In 2016, he moved to New York City to study at Playhouse West under Andrea Dantas and Jim Parrack. There, he acted in various stage productions, wrote, produced, and starred in his first short film Prospect, and earned a Brazilian International Press Awards nomination for Best Actor for his work in Inside the Wild Heart. He later co-starred in Christopher Ernst and Bill Darmon's adaptation of Fritz Leiber's The Hill and the Hole as Wyoming police officer Joel.
