Traciy Curry-Reyes is a freelance journalist/writer and true-crime case consultant. She has appeared as an expert on TV One's Fatal Attraction, Justice By Any Means, For My Man, Lifetime's Killer Kids, and Investigation Discovery's Scorned and Murder Calls. Traciy also owns and contributes to her own crime and movie blogs including, Movies Based On True Stories Archives, formerly the Movies Based On True Stories Database.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Traciy has always had a desire to research true-crime cases. She attended Jefferson State Community College and The University of Alabama at Birmingham to study Spanish and Education.

Traciy Curry-Reyes began her career as a true crime & entertainment freelance writer in the 1990's for her former website, The Movies Based on True Stories Database/Archives. She has contributed content to other websites, such as Examiner and Inquisitr. Traciy also appears as a true-crime expert and commentator on VH1's Celebrity True Crime Story, TV One's Fatal Attraction, For My Man, and Justice by Any Means; Investigation Discovery's Murder Calls and Scorned; Oxygen's Snapped; FOX's Crime Watch Daily; Lifetime Television's Killer Kids, and BET Television's latest true crime show.

In 2016, Traciy Curry-Reyes founded TV Crime Sky.com. She gave up the site in 2021.

That same year, Traciy Curry-Reyes solved a 50-year-old urban myth. That investigative piece titled, The Legend of Dead Darrius, amassed 1 million views.

Today, she writes about long-forgotten mysteries, cold cases, missing people, and movies based on true stories.

Traciy Curry-Reyes is married and has one child, Valentin, with her husband Teodoro Reyes. Her oldest daughter, Ivy Brook Walker, who suggested she investigate the story of Dead Darrius, passed away from Fentanyl poisoning in 2021.
