John is an award winning, director, writer, producer and actor. His films and screenplays have 240 film festival selections and have won 44 awards.

The New York Film Awards awarded John the Best First Time Screenwriter Award for his short comedy screenplay "The Buffinator".

The Los Angeles Film Awards awarded him Screenplay of the Month for his first feature screenplay "Selling Death". It was also an official selection of the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

The Academy Award qualifying Cleveland International Film Festival selected his films "Grumpy Shark" and "Arachnoid".

He won Best Actor International Film at the Hodu FIlm Festival.

John received the Exceptional Achievement Award by the Multi Dimensional Independent Film Festival for his animated film "Grumpy Shark".
