Biography

As a child, Rob was utterly enthralled with the RCMP, and wished to become a Mountie.

While Rob was professionally trained as a screen writer at VFS (Vancouver Film School, in Vancouver, British Columbia), he learned animation all on his own, because it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Rob has an older brother, Leland Bird, who is a professional cartoon animator.

Has been an avid participant in GISHWHES, since the very first one took place, in 2011.

Rob's younger sister, Waverly, is a lawyer.
