- Silawn Lewis was born in New York City and spent her formative years living in New York City and New Jersey. As a child, she spent hours in her bedroom glued to the television during every spare moment. A year after graduating high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army. After returning to New Jersey from permanent party in Germany, she worked a 9-5 job as a Cost Accountant, while she simultaneously attended college, majoring in computer science. One day during her second semester, she passed the television studio and instantly knew she had to switch majors and follow her passion. After she completed the semester, she transferred to another school specifically for media professions to study television production.
Upon graduating, she started her career on the technical side, working as a cameraperson and audio/video editor for a top New York City advertising agency. She later moved to Atlanta where she worked at a local television station as a master control operator, as well as a studio cameraperson for two live music video programs. One year later, she was promoted to the position of Program Manager of the station, a position in which she flourished. Although she was eventually offered a salary increase and the opportunity to host her own weekly 30-minute news magazine TV program, she decided to move back to New York City to continue working behind the scenes on productions. She had a strong desire to learn as much as she could about every aspect of production.
After working in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles on several projects including commercials, videos, award shows, a TV pilot, etc.. (many without pay early on, just to gain experience), she permanently relocated to Los Angeles in 2009. She expanded her knowledge and experience and began getting opportunities to work as a Production Coordinator, Talent Coordinator, Stage Manager, Script Supervisor, Assistant Director and Director on TV, film and stage productions. In 2015, after years of constant side requests to "find" talent, crew or locations for many projects, she decided to consolidate her resources and start a company to provide those services to independent producers. She will expand her creative side, developing and producing projects she has written, including her autobiography. (She actually has over 100+ projects ready to go, once there is financing).
In her desire to be involved in every aspect of production, she has also done background acting whenever she wasn't booked as "crew". Silawn loves being on set, but prefers being behind the scenes.

- After hosting one episode of a 30-minute entertainment magazine show, the general manager of the TV station asked her to be the permanent host of the series. She turned down the opportunity because she preferred working behind the scenes on productions.

- As a child, used to bring stray animals home all of the time and either hide them in her bedroom or somewhere in her apartment building. Once hid a Great Dane in the storage unit in the basement of her building.
- Was proposed to six times. One man asked her to marry him after knowing her for less than twenty-four hours. She declined several times, but they continued to date.
- At 18, she attended a live taping of the $20,000 Pyramid. She was fascinated by what occurred behind the scenes during commercial breaks and it planted the seed for her future career.
