Biography

Chris Reineck is an award-winning media composer and an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre's Slaight Family Music Residency, highly recognized for his dynamic contributions to film, television, and innovative audio production.

Reineck is most recently the recipient of a SOCAN Domestic Television Music Award(2026) and a Canadian Screen Award Nominee for Best Original Music, Factual for his work on the TVO documentary series "Who Owns The World" (with Neil Haverty). His recent composition credits include "Slasher: Hell Motel" and "Surrealestate", the YouTube Series "Stories From My Gay Grandparents", and the acclaimed CBC Gem series "Tokens" (2019-2022). His upcoming feature and mini-series credits include the children’s show "A Witch Named Agatha"(2026) and "Man Eating Pussy" (with Spencer Creaghan) (2026).

Chris's versatile expertise extends deep into the music and sound departments. He is a frequent and trusted collaborator of Academy Award-Nominated composer Lesley Barber (Late Night, Manchester By The Sea) and fellow CFC alumnus Spencer Creaghan (SurrealEstate, Motherly), for whom he serves as a sought-after editor, producer, and drum and synth designer.

Beyond screen composing, he is responsible for the intricate sound design for the successful Muse 2 and Muse S applications, as well as the hit "Catch Him If You Can" podcast (Frequency Podcast Network). Chris also serves as a post-production supervisor, voice director, and audio producer for commercial and film projects.
