  • Jonathan Watkins is an independent, Guild of Music Supervisors-nominated music supervisor and the in-house music lead for Black Label Media. He has collaborated with acclaimed directors including Denis Villeneuve and Joseph Kosinski, as well as rising cinematic voices such as Nicolai Fuglsig, Grant Singer, and J.D. Dillard. His credits span major studio and indie films-Sicario and its sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado, 12 Strong, Only the Brave, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, and recent releases Reptile and Devotion.

    Known for bridging bold cinematic vision with distinctive sonic identity, Jonathan has partnered with award-winning composers including Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Joe Trapanese, and Lorne Balfe, and championed emerging talents like Chanda Dancy and Yair Glotman.

    An Alabama native and former Twentieth Century Fox and MGM music executive, he is also an independent music publisher behind No. 1 songs by writers HARDY and Travis Howard, recorded by artists such as Morgan Wallen, Florida Georgia Line, Jameson Rodgers, and Miranda Lambert.

    Jonathan managed soundtrack and publishing administration for Electronic Arts Music and continues to consult for their publishing division. He is founder of Ernest Entertainment Inc. and Watsky Music and serves on Belmont University’s Music Business Advisory Board and Motion Pictures Board.
