Biography

Eric Himel is a Canadian-American actor drawn to characters whose first impressions rarely tell the whole story. His work often finds humor and tension in contradiction - confidence edged with unease, authority undercut by insecurity, and conventional appearances that reveal something unexpected.

Born in Toronto and raised in Texas, Himel describes himself as equal parts Canadian restraint and Texan bravado, a duality that tends to find its way into his work.

He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City before turning his focus to acting. He has trained at the Margie Haber Studio, John Rosenfeld Studios and The Groundlings in Los Angeles.

His recent film work includes the mockumentary feature Dave vs. Hollywood.
