Louis was recognized with his films and TV shows in China, and he was awarded a New Star Award at the "Chinese Young Generation Film Forum 2010", with the film "The University Days of a Dog". In 2016, Louis has written and directed his first film, "Once Upon a Time in Sichuan," and started to write and direct ever since.
