Sergio Fernández Borrás studied at the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISA) in Cuba and graduated from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) specializing in sound. He has worked as a sound designer on projects that have premiered at prestigious festivals such as Berlin, Amsterdam, IDFA and Cannes. As a teacher he has taught sound workshops in Spain, Portugal and Berlin. He is currently a professor of the IMAGINA master's degree in documentary filmmaking at LENS school in Madrid. He has collaborated on projects for the Reina Sofia Museum and the Casa Encendida in Madrid.
