Biography

Brandon Alvis is an award-nominated filmmaker, director, and editor with over a decade of experience in documentary and unscripted television. He is the creator and showrunner of Haunted Discoveries and its spin-off series Haunted Discoveries: Family Spirits, overseeing development, production, and post-production across eleven combined seasons distributed internationally.

His feature documentary Cemetery Park was an official selection at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, marking a pivotal step in his transition into long-form, character-driven filmmaking. Brandon’s work blends documentary structure with cinematic pacing, often exploring history, memory, and the emotional connection people have to place.

In addition to his independent film and television work, Brandon has a background in commercial and broadcast production, having worked as a Commercial Producer and Promotions Producer for KEYT 3, FOX 11, and CBS 12 in Santa Barbara. This experience sharpened his ability to tell concise, impactful stories in fast-paced production environments.

Deeply involved in post-production, Brandon shapes narrative through edit and sound design, an approach that has helped his projects connect with both broadcast audiences and film festival programmers. He continues to develop new documentary and television projects through his independent production banner, focusing on legacy-driven storytelling rooted in real-world experience.
