Biography

Sarah McCourt trained as an actor and director at The Hub Theatre School, Manchester Metropolitan and Rose Bruford. Equally at home on screen and stage, she has appeared in Galavant (ABC Studios), Rewind and Away From It All (webseries), The Empty Space and Party From Now Till Dawn (Zanifare Films), The Runner (Emberlense Productions), The Tempest and Macbeth (Individual Theatre), A Present for Anna and Help for Helen (Forum Theatre for Exstream Theatre), and The Changeling (Behemoth Theatre). A qualified teacher with fifteen years experience teaching in Further and Higher Education, she has worked with students of all ages running Strode Youth Theatre and classes for the Northcott Theatre, PQA, and infusionarts. She is also a Trinity Arts Award Adviser. In 2008 Sarah founded Restless Theatrte whilst completing an MFA with Distinction at University of Exeter, where she completed her PhD in 2016. She is Joint Artistic Director and has performed in a range of shows for the company including Monstrous Love, Stormy Weather, The Merchant of Venice, Point Blank, Much Ado About Nothing, Network Tales and Othello.
