- Dmitriy Panteleev is a Russian theater and film director, actor.
Panteleev graduated from the Sverdlovsk Theatre Institute in 1991, specializing in drama and film acting (workshop of Professor V. I. Anisimov). He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography in 2001, specializing in drama directing. He graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors in 2010, specializing in 'directing feature and documentary films'.
He worked at the St. Petersburg theaters 'Baltic House' and 'Priyut Komedianta', and directed plays in St. Petersburg and Stockholm. His signature production is 'A Nice Place for the Enchanted Philosopher', based on Nikolay Gogol's novella 'Viy'.
From 2001 to 2003 he taught acting and directing at the St. Petersburg University of Arts. From 2003 to 2005 - Artistic Director of the Cultural Center of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
