Nick Romano is his first and second name. His full name is Nick Romano Alzamora. The name comes from 1949's American courtroom trial film noir Knock on Any Door. In the film, ¨Nick Romano¨ is a ¨troubled punk from the slums¨ played by actor John Derek.

In 2022, Nick Romano appeared in Claire Denis' Stars at Noon, which premiered in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival and received the Grand Prix.
