- Soumendra Bhattacharya is a talented actor known for his work in Bengali films and web shows. He gained recognition with his debut feature film "Ludo" (2015), one of the earliest Netflix India releases. He has appeared in popular web shows like "DupurThakurpo" (2017), "Charitraheen" (2018), "Bonyo Premer Golpo" (2019), and "Byomkesh Season 6" (2021). Soumendra has also showcased his acting skills in notable films including "Byomkesh O Agnibaan" (2017), "Bhoot Chaturdashi" (2019), "Saheber Cutlet" (2020), and "Abhijaan" (2022). Currently residing in Mumbai, he continues to make a mark in the industry.

- Ludo (2016) is his first major work on screen and remains the closest to his heart till date. He shot for it in 2014 and it had a huge impact on him wanting to act professionally. After auditioning for the part of Pele, he got a callback after eight months.
- The first time he ever went up on stage was as a kid in standard one during his local community Durga Puja celebrations. The adults were staging 'Achalayatan' by Rabindranath Tagore and needed a few kids. He had one line ' Shey je Bhoyanok' which translates as 'It is frightening.'.
- He wanted to become a documentary film maker after watching 'Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani' like the character 'Bunny' played by Ranbir Kapoor. He got accepted to a Masters course in Media and Cultural Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai in 2014 and was all set to go but declined in a moment of epiphany, to pursue the dream of becoming an actor.
- He dropped out of a Masters course in Applied Economics Course from Presidency University in 2014. He belongs to the last batch of Presidency College (2010-2013) before it turned into an university. He has a Bachelors degree in Economics which he is yet to collect.
- He co-founded the erstwhile Kolkata based theatre company Mad About Drama when he was 20 years old, which became a driving force and a new voice in the arts and culture scene of Kolkata during the period 2011-2018, breaking cultural boundaries and creating a platform for people who wanted to pursue the arts full time. His most memorable moment onstage is performing for the first time at Prithvi Theatre Mumbai in 2014.
