- Suffers from Metatarsus Adductus, Femoral Anteversion, and Tibial Torsion, resulting in an inward twisting of his leg and foot bones. This was mostly treated as a child with physical therapy.

- Named his production company in honor of Ball State University and fellow BSU alum David Letterman. Letterman has regularly stated that he is, "a proud fighting Cardinal, the fiercest robin-sized bird in the animal kingdom.".
- His paternal grandmother was one of the first female Methodist ministers in the state of Indiana. She began preaching at the age of 14, was ordained at 16, and preached regularly for over fifty years.
- Suffers from anxiety, and is a vocal and active supporter of mental health awareness.
