- Juan Cortés is a Colombian composer, orchestrator and music producer for films and television based in Los Angeles, California. By mixing new, unconventional sounds with traditional composition and contemporary music production techniques, Juan brings a specific kind of emotion to each scene and creates memorable experiences for his spectators. He collaborates with Award-winning composer Federico Jusid, as a composer and sound designer for his company Metronome MP.
Juan had the opportunity to observe the importance of not only talent but also, the value of teamwork and communication. Throughout 2016 and 2018, Juan collaborated on a number of feature films such as "Neruda"(Pablo Larrain), "Early Man"(Aardman Animations), "Loving Pablo"(Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz), and "Life itself"(Amazon studios).
As well as his own film and television projects, Juan is an additional composer and music producer. He has recently contributed music for projects such as "Remastered"(Netflix), "Watership Down" (BBC/Netflix), and "Farihna" (Bambú/Netflix).
