Biography

Ashish is a Singaporean writer and filmmaker based in the US, who started making short films as a history undergrad at the University of Oxford. He then received his MFA in writing and directing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and was selected for the 2022-23 Warner Bros. TV Writers' Workshop, the studio's pipeline program. His recent short film, Eastern Delights, was inspired by a real life CIA-made porno and he directed the upcoming feature documentary Chasing Cricket, which follows immigrant teens who play cricket in an NYPD-run league. Ashish has also worked extensively as an editor on documentaries such as Ask The Sexpert (Amazon Prime, PBS), Queenmaker (Hulu) and Gonzo @ The Derby (ESPN 30 for 30).
