A "literary mercenary" with a highly unusual skill set, and a Rolodex filled with fascinating, oftentimes dangerous people amassed during two decades of high-octane participatory journalism, Adam is the author of more than 50 books (fiction and nonfiction, credited and ghosted) and hundreds of feature articles for the hippest publications.

He has swam with great white sharks sans cage, jumped out of planes sans parachute, played poker with cartel kingpins sans sanity, dived for pirate treasure in the Caribbean, hunted poachers in Africa, competed in both sanctioned and illegal motor races throughout the United States, and taken part in Sasquatch safaris and other "crypto-quests" around the world.
