Biography

Cristiano Caccamo is an Italian actor. Graduated at the Experimental Center of Cinematography, in 2010 he made his debut in theaters. The first movie that gives him a leading role is "Cenere", released in 2014. The TV debut comes in 2015 with "Questo è il mio paese". In 2017, he joins the cast of "Che Dio ci aiuti", a successful Rai TV series and then of "Don Matteo". In 2018, he is also the protagonist of the movie "Puoi baciare lo sposo", along with Salvatore Esposito and the colleague and friend Diana del Bufalo.

Cristiano Caccamo was born in Taurianova, Calabria. Son of the poet and writer Michele Caccamo, at age 15 he left his hometown to move to a boarding school in Assisi. He graduated from the Italian National film school. In 2014, he made his big screen debut in "La vita oscena" by Renato De Maria and that same year played his first leading role in a film, "Cenere", as Julien, a street artist. His TV debut occurred in 2015, with "Questo è il mio paese", where he played Cosimo, son of a fugitive, and in "Il paradiso delle signore" by Monica Vullo, where he played Quinto, a shy stock boy. In 2017, he appeared in the cast of "Che Dio ci aiuti" directed by Francesco Vicario as a young heart surgeon, and in 2018 in the TV series "Don Matteo" as Giovanni Santucci, the boyfriend of Captain Anna Olivieri. In March 2018, he starred in "Puoi baciare lo sposo" alongside Salvatore Esposito. In September 2018, he was part of the cast of the TV miniseries "La vita promessa", with Luisa Ranieri. And in the following years he appeared in hit movies and TV shows like: "Sotto il sole di Riccione", "Una famiglia Mostruosa", "Bla Bla Baby", "Summertime", and more recently: "Una scomoda eredità", "Sono Lillo", and "Per lanciarsi dalle stelle".
