Michael is a Paraguayan-American filmmaker with a degree in Film and Visual Arts, trained at FAMU (Prague) and American University (Washington, D.C.). In 2015, he presented a short film in the Cannes Court Métrage selection, won the award for Best Dramatic Short Film at the EuroFilm Festival, and received the Ron Sutton Award from American University for his outstanding artistic work. In 2017, as a director and screenwriter, he presented Opus VR at the Cannes Film Festival-the first virtual reality miniseries from South America-which received awards in several countries. In 2019, he released his first feature film as co-director, El Supremo Manuscrito, a project supported by the Ibermedia program. In 2021, he directed and wrote the successful television series El Regreso de las Sombras, broadcast on Telefuturo, reaching the #1 spot in national primetime ratings. At the end of 2023, he released his second feature film, El Apartamento, selected at the Málaga Film Festival as Paraguay’s representative.
