- Latif is a Burmese Canadian filmmaker based in Vancouver. After several years working as a cinematographer and editor, he is now directing his first feature film, Kage No Hana. The film is set to shoot in Japan in fall 2026, supported by Telefilm's Talent Fund. It is co-written and co-produced by actor Mako Fujimoto, who plays the role of Hana.
