Biography

Grant Conversano is a queer filmmaker from Concord, North Carolina. A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Grant co-founded their production company Apple House Pictures with their brother Adam Conversano in 2020.

Grant's short films have screened at a variety of festivals including HollyShorts, Woodstock Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Denver Film Festival, and the Fantasia Film Festival. Their work has also been distributed by PBS, NoBudge, Directors Notes, and Short of the Week. In 2023, Grant was recognized as one of BK Magazine's "50 Most Fascinating People of Brooklyn." They are also an alum of the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium, a recipient of the Davey Grant for Emerging Filmmakers, and a 2020 Indie Grits Lab Real Fiction Fellow. Additionally they have served on the board of the OUT at the Movies Film Festival and continues to work annually in the education department at the Telluride Film Festival.
