Biography

Ekeobong is a Nigerian-American actress and model. The eldest of four children, she was raised in a faith-centered household with a pastor father and a mother who is a small business owner. At age 4, her family relocated from Nigeria to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, where she grew up and graduated high school among the top ten in her class.

She discovered her passion for acting at the age of ten, though opportunities for formal training were limited on her small island. Using her transition to college as her gateway, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting while earning her B.A. in Communication Studies at UCLA. During her studies, she also trained in the UCLA Theater program and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since graduation, she has continued to invest deeply in her growth and development as an artist.

Her first lead role was in the award-winning short film Memoir of an Honest Voice, where she portrayed Mariatu Kamara, a refugee and civil war survivor. The film received recognition across the festival circuit in 2014, with Ekeobong earning praise and an award for her moving performance.

She went on to star in Passports, a coming-of-age story, and has since appeared in acclaimed television series including ABC's Station 19 and The Good Doctor, as well as a recurring role in BET's Ruthless. Alongside her acting career, Ekeobong is also an accomplished model and loves photography.
