- Nina Buxton is an award-winning television director known for grounded, truthful performances, character-driven camera work, and fostering a kind, collaborative environment on set. Her recent work includes directing episodes of the Emmy Award-winning Heartbreak High for Netflix and the ABC series Dog Park, as well as shadowing Jocelyn Moorhouse as director’s attachment on Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe.
A Film and Television graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Nina’s short films have screened widely at major festivals including MIFF, Flickerfest, St Kilda Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Munich Film Festival, Perth Revelation and Byron Bay Film Festival, where she was awarded Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year. Her most recent short film, Bubba, had its world premiere as the Opening Night film at Rooftop Films Festival in New York.
