Biography

Philip Szrama is a visual effects supervisor and 3D motion graphics artist recognized for his creative leadership and technical expertise in independent and full feature filmmaking. Specializing in compositing, motion graphics, 3D simulations, and real time graphics. Szrama brings a narrative-driven approach to every project, ensuring the visual effects enhance and support the story.

He has served as VFX Supervisor on a range of productions, including Artful Gambit (2014), Home (2018), and Green Cobra (2020), overseeing the entire visual effects pipeline from concept to final delivery. His upcoming credit as VFX Supervisor is on Malus (post-production), continuing his work in creating visually striking, story-focused imagery.

In addition to his production work, Szrama is dedicated to advancing the craft of VFX through education. He is an Assistant Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he teaches 3D digital design and visual effects production, mentoring emerging artists and technical directors.

Szrama continues to take on freelance VFX supervision and design work, with a focus on innovative workflows, cutting-edge simulation techniques, and the seamless fusion of design and cinematic storytelling.
