Biography

Luke Mounsey transitioned into writing from high school teaching in inner London, England, where he witnessed all sorts of depravity and debauchery. He transitioned into special needs teaching in outer Melbourne, Australia, where he was responsible for a class of 100+kg boys with past histories of extreme aggression and violence. Writing was much better for his back and brain.

Since completing a Masters of Screenwriting at the VCA, he has been producing, writing, directing, and editing TV and film that screens across the globe. Most notably, he co-wrote, directed, and produced with Andy Lane the award winning Blue Canaries.

He also moonlights as a screenwriting lecturer and mentor at the VCA, and as a script consultant.
