Karin Pleva

With inspiration from both American and Japanese comic style, Karin's drawings integrate manga and pop-art, bleeding together ink lines of drama, vivid colors, and uplifting pastels. Her work has been featured in Todd Haberkorn's final 'Tribute Wars' film, where the opening narrative is told through Karin's drawings. The film has been featured at anime conventions across the U.S. In addition, she has been working on her own comic for 9 years titled "Heart One." The tragic fantasy/science fiction drama tells of a young man who strives to regain his life after fate rips his physical and figurative hearts from him, forcing him into a ghost-like existence.When not creating comics, Karin draws superhero posters, paints space landscapes, makes mini cartoons, and builds/crafts 3D art pieces. She is also skilled in producing and editing short films. For her drawings and videos, she has won awards within the anime community (including FUNimation), and is steadily gaining a wider audience for her work.
