Biography

Screenwriter and director Cheryl Neve grew up on the south coast of England and studied Hispanic Studies at King's College London, before later embarking on her career in the film industry. She has since written, produced and directed a wide range of film genres, such as WWII, drama, espionage, sci-fi and westerns.

Her directorial debut, Cold War thriller Cheating Charlie (2019), has won awards for Best First Time Director, Best Director (Honorable Mention), Best Screenplay, Best Short Mystery/Thriller, Best Writer, Best Producer and Best Cinematography. She also produced Fabio D'Andrea: Love Should Not Hurt (2021), starring Spice Girl Mel B and choreographed by The Greatest Showman (2017)'s Ashley Wallen.

Her current focus is a number of projects filming in Europe and the US.

Cheryl recently starred in horror movie "Mannequin" set on a Mannequin farm containing 20,000 mannequins. She remains very close to fellow actresses Dani Thompson, Megan Lockhurst and Regan Tibbenham.

She recently appeared as part of a screenwriting panel for the Paris International Film Festival run by French filmmaker and actress Jenna Suru.

Cheryl is a keen singer, having been coached by opera singer Debbie Holmes, a former student of Norman Feasey, OBE (repetiteur to Maria Callas, Joan Sutherland and many more) at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
