  • A filmmaker from the Canary Islands, Anatael Pérez has enjoyed a prolific career in short films and film festivals for over 10 years. More than 50 short films bear his signature since founding Anatael Productions in 2004, specializing in production design and art direction.

    His work has been screened at various festivals, including El Festivalito, Gáldar Rueda, NotodoFilmFest, La Laguna Plató de Cine, San Rafael En Corto, Festival de Cortos de la Orotava, Lanzarote International Film Festival, Zaragoza Film Festival, and Málaga Film Festival. In 2012, he took the reins of the Tiempo Sur Short Film Festival, managing it for four years with critical and popular acclaim. In 2020, he also took charge of the Cine Express section of the Tenerife Noir Atlantic Noir Film Festival, with similar success. She continues to develop film projects, which have received support from both the Government of the Canary Islands and the Tenerife Island Council.

    In 2025, her short film "Julia" won the Most Divergent Short Film award from the Divergent platform, paving the way for the production of a feature film. In art direction, she has not only been responsible for creating makeup, costumes, and set design, but also for the concept and creation of the worlds for different stories.
