Joe Bacus is a filmmaker based in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. He directed and produced the short film " Happy Fiesta" which had its international premiere at the 28th ExGround Film Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany in 2015. His films have been screened and won in national film festivals, and in international film festivals including Landshuter Kurzfilm festival (Deadline Award) in Munich, Cellulart Film Festival in Jena Germany, Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico, Vienna P0rn Film Festival in Austria, and FACINE in San Francisco, California, USA.
His debut full-length feature film "Markado: The Moon Devourer" also premiered at QCinema International Film Festival (2018) and International premiere at Focus on Asia - Fukuoka International Film Festival, Japan (2019).
