Catcher taken 149th overall by the New York Mets in the 2005 MLB draft out of Central Florida. Traded by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to the Kansas City Royals in 2015.
He and his father both played for the Minnesota Twins: Sal from 1980-1982, 1987; Drew from 2010-2013.
