  • Nicholas Starte, University of Sydney Bachelor of Arts and WAAPA Acting graduate, winner of the Sally Burton award for performance in Shakespeare, started his theatre career performing and directing amateur theatre, musical theatre and circus performance through various university theatre groups. His notable performances at WAAPA include: David (Love and Money, Dir. Matthew Dunster); Horatio (Hamlet, Dir. John Sheedy); Kenneth Lay (Enron, Dir. Michael McCall); Julius Caesar (Julius Caesar, Dir. Sean O'Shea) and Cole Porter (The Swell Party, Written and Directed by the WAAPA class of 2013 and Christopher Edmund). He has also appeared in a number of WASA short films, including Dam Babies, Juliet and SLAA. Nicholas made his professional debut as Masoud in Black Swan State Theatre Company's 2014 production of "Dust" by Suzie Miller and has since performed in Beside Ourselves Collective's 2015 production of "Great Island", Edgeware Forum's 2015 production of "EIGHT", a recurring character on the ABC's "The Ex PM". He then scored on the lead role of Ryan in the West Australian movie, "Broken". Nicholas has recently finished a production of wonderful town at the Sydney Opera House in association with Squabbalogic and the Sydney Philharmonia Choir.
