  • Ler Jiyuan is a Singaporean filmmaker and the Showrunner, Writer, and Director of the critically acclaimed HBO Asia drama Invisible Stories. The series premiered at the 2019 Golden Horse Film Festival, with its first two episodes featured at the Singapore International Film Festival. It received multiple accolades, including Best National Director for Ler at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards, and was named one of Variety's "Top 15 International Series to Watch" in 2020.

    Ler's work spans television dramas, telemovies, brand films, music videos, and short films. His directing credits include HBO Asia's Grisse; the telemovies Gone Case and The Love Machine; and series such as Code of Law and Zero Calling. His short film The Drum won the 2018 Viddsee Juree Gold Award and competed at the 2017 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, while Paper House premiered at the Singapore Chinese Film Festival.

    He co-directed the Taiwanese series Islanders, which premiered at the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival, and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

    Ler is also the founder of Birdmandog, a Singapore-based production company focused on crafting cinematic stories with empathy and global resonance.
