Skylar began her insurance career in 2000 as an Assistant with the brokerage, The Rubin Group in New York City. As her career progressed, she moved into Entertainment Insurance at Event Insurance, LLC as an Account Representative and then Account Executive, specializing in Event and Production Insurance. For the next 13 years, Skylar was with Reiff & Associates, LLC/a division of Risk Strategies company specializing in all things Entertainment; Film/TV Production including E&O, Staging, Rigging, Live Events and Drone coverage. Skylar joined EPIC in 2022 and is excited to see where this new position will take her.
Skylar's two decades worth of experience in this field has prepared her for the evolution of the industry. She has worked on small indie projects, all the way to A-List blockbusters and her filmography includes work with many notable Academy award winners and nominees. She has developed close knit relationships with insurance carriers, financiers, and various production support institutions during this time.
Her love of film and being involved in new projects creates a great customer relationship dynamic. This passionate work with her clients has earned her Risk and Insurance Magazine's "2020 Entertainment Power Broker" Award. This award recognizes and promotes outstanding risk management and customer service in the brokerage world and is selected based on the strength of her client's testimonials.
