Vivian Maier(1926-2009)
Vivian Maier was an American street photographer whose work remained unknown during her lifetime. While working primarily as a nanny in Chicago, she secretly produced an extraordinary body of images, more than 150,000 photographs, capturing everyday urban life with sharp observation and empathy. Her archive surfaced in 2007, when John Maloof acquired boxes of her negatives at a local auction.
