Zanbo Zhang(I)

Zanbo Zhang is a Chinese independent filmmaker. He graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2005 with a Master's Degree, and later established Asymptote Films. He has made four feature-length documentaries and a number of short films. His works have been continuously focusing on individual dignities and living conditions in a fast developing China. He is also a non-fiction writer, and has published award-winning non-fiction book 'The Road: Low-Speed Life in High-Speed China' in Taiwan (2014) and China (2015). Zhang's works have mostly been censored in China because they often boldly tackle politically sensitive issues.
