Biography

Kateryna Laskari (born April 28, 1985, in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian media manager, Producer and Founder of SPACE Production.

In June 2018 Kateryna Laskari together with her partner Daria Leygonie-Fialko founded the TV production company SPACE. SPACE has been created as a full-cycle production house, as well as a creative producer's center, generating content for Ukraine and worldwide. SPACE Production has become the leader in terms of the number of episodes, produced for Ukrainian television in 2020, according to a study by Media Resources Management. In one year the company produced 216 premiere episodes. In year 2021 Space Production increased its production by almost twofold, releasing 387 episodes.

Before that, for 9 years, Kateryna was the Head of TV-3 channel own production, and held a similar position as the main producer on CTC channel. Under her leadership TV channels' projects became more competitive, she had attributed to the creation of well-known tv brands, being produced for multiple seasons. During this time, she was in charge of creating several dozens of originals that have firmly taken the leading positions in the TV channels' network. These include "Detective Anna" that became a big event on TV3 and received high audience scores on Netflix and Amazon Prime (the series is available in 13 countries), the mystery detective "Fifth Watch", the comedy "Psychological Girls", the docudrama "Fortune Teller", the sports drama "The Last Axel", etc.

Before joining the TV channels, Kateryna was the editor-in-chief of the popular Ukrainian television programs Guten Morgen (M1), "Fabrika Zirok" ("Star Factory", Novy Channel), Verka Serdyuchka Show (TRK Ukraina). She developed the original format of the talent show "Narodna Zirka" ("People's Star"), and also participated in the creation of a large-scale dance format "Maidan's", the general producers of which were Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Serhiy Shefir, Daria Leygonie-Fialko.

Kateryna Laskari graduated from the New York Academy of Cinema and Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Publishing and Editing Department).
