Mario Garza is a Mexican director, producer, writer, and co-founder of the production company Koolshiit. Named one of the Academy's "20 Directors of Tomorrow," his distinct visual style stems from an extensive background creative directing high-end global campaigns for clients like Apple, Nike, and Meta.
In the narrative space, Mario's debut feature film, Censurada, premiered in the prestigious Cinematographers' Debut section at Camerimage-where it was the sole Spanish-language feature selected-and is slated for a commercial theatrical release in Mexico and Spain in December 2026. His award-winning short films have screened at Slamdance, BFI London, and LALIFF.
