Biography

Vanessa DeSilvio was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised by Venezuelan parents, which explains her ability to speak fluent Spanish and her love for Venezuelan culture. Growing up, Vanessa moved around the US quite often due to her father's job, but it allowed her to build a resilient nature. She began acting on stage at the age of 7 and continued developing a love for theatre through high school. Vanessa attended Manhattanville College to double major in Theatre and Psychology and graduated summa cum laude. After living in NYC, she moved to Dallas on a full ride to obtain an MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University. Upon graduation, Vanessa signed with the Mary Collins Agency, which propelled her television and voice-over career. She is married to Doug DeSilvio, is a mother to three boys, and enjoys balancing her home life with her passion for performance.
