Trix Vivier

Trix Vivier is a South African actress and voice artist whose work spans film, television and theatre. Known for her versatility, emotional depth and commanding screen presence, she has established herself as one of South Africa's leading performers while building an international career across Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom. She gained international recognition for her breakout performance as Flea van Jaarsveld in the HBO original series Trackers (2020), a role that introduced her to audiences worldwide. She is also widely known for her starring role as Petra Potgieter in Legacy, the hit telenovela produced by Emmy-nominated production company Tshedza Pictures, where her performance earned widespread acclaim. Her television and film credits include leading roles in Juffrou X, Netflix's Umjolo: Day Ones, the Showmax Original Waterfront, and numerous South African scripted dramas. Equally comfortable in drama, thriller, comedy and genre filmmaking, Trix has built a reputation for portraying complex, resilient and memorable female characters. In 2025 she starred in Khaki Fever, directed by Brett Michael Innes. Her latest feature film sees her in the female lead role of Jakoba Uys in The Trek (2026), director Meekaaeel Adam's horror-western set in the Kalahari Desert. The film premiered internationally at Fantasporto (Portugal), followed by screenings at The Joburg Film Festival (South Africa) , Fantaspoa (Brazil), Shanghai International Film Festival, Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea), Raindance Film Festival (UK) and Scary Movies XIV at Film at Lincoln Center in New York. The Trek had a successful 2026 theatrical release in South Africa and has received critical recognition throughout its festival run. Trix was nominated for Best Actress for her role as Jakoba Uys at both Fantasporta (Portugal) and Fantaspoa (Brazil). Throughout her career, Trix has collaborated with some of South Africa's most respected filmmakers and production companies while steadily expanding into international productions. Her performances are noted for their authenticity, emotional intelligence and physical commitment, allowing her to move seamlessly between large-scale television productions, independent cinema and international co-productions. She is a two-time South African Silwerskerm Award nominee for Best Actress in a Drama and a South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) nominee for Best Supporting Actress. Previously based in the Middle East (Dubai), Trix now lives in London with her family and continues to work internationally across the United Kingdom, Europe and South Africa.
