Biography

Karen Roberts is an Actor-Singer-Writer born and raised in Long Beach, CA. From 2002-2009, Karen was the lead singer and a founding member of Victory Records signed ska-punk band Chase Long Beach. After years of touring North America and Europe, she left the band to commit herself to her first love: acting.

From 2010-2012 Karen enrolled in the Long Beach City College Theatre Department, taking a wide array of acting classes and performing in several plays. In 2011, she became one of the founding members of the improv and sketch comedy group Fistful of Improv, which is the Resident Improv House Team at the Long Beach Playhouse. Karen went on to hone her improv and comedy writing skills through both Upright Citizen's Brigade and Second City LA. This led to her joining the all-female sketch comedy & improv team Pinup Squirrels in 2018; which is also a Resident Improv/Sketch House Team at Upright Citizen's Brigade LA.

On top of her acting career, since 2016 Karen has been the lead singer of the all-female pop-punk/ska band Unicorn Injection and as of April 2022, is now back singing for Chase Long Beach again.

She has written numerous shorts, sketches, songs and in 2022, also completed her first sitcom pilot.
