Born in Mexico City, Maria developed a passion for storytelling from an early age. Her short films have been screened at various festivals, including GLAFF, deadCenter, the Chelsea Film Festival, and LA Shorts Fest. Most recently, she served as the 2nd Unit Director on Netflix's adaptation of Pedro Páramo. Maria remains dedicated to crafting narratives that resonate with raw human emotion and genuine connection, weaving stories that capture how the essence of life's most simple and honest moments can inspire and shape us.
