- Andrew Hernández is a producer, author, professor, and filmmaker, honored with two prestigious Emmy Awards. He has worked in high-level studios utilizing industrial-grade cameras like the ARRI Alexa and has designed and overseen the construction of multimedia labs. Hernández has distributed films for the big screen and showcased videos on iconic stages such as the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
He is the founder of Luminne Productions LLC, where he has developed audiovisual projects for celebrities like Yandel La Leyenda, Víctor Manuelle, Jay Wheeler, and Deborah Martorell. He has also produced content for television, podcasts, marketing strategies, the Caribbean Film Orchestra, and the film El Sueño Más Grande (2022) for the Arecibo Observatory. Currently, he collaborates as a project producer specializing in 3D visual effects for Fournier Brothers LLC, contributing to live concerts for artists like Alexis y Fido, and Jowell y Randy. Additionally, he has been hired as a producer and content director for Disney and National Geographic.
Hernández holds a Master's degree in Photography, a Bachelor's degree in Cinematography, an Associate degree in Electronics, and a REDucation certification. He has delivered film lectures at the University of Central Florida, the Sare for Senate 2022 symposium in New York, the creative team of Church on the Rock in Missouri, the University of Málaga in Spain, and the University of Puerto Rico. He is also a professor at the Caribbean Cinematic Courses, a board member of the Puerto Rico Film Festival, and formerly served as the Academic Director of the Bachelor's in Cinematography at Atlantic University.
Currently, he works in Florida, USA, where he leads the emerging Digital Media and Video Production program at Lake-Sumter State College. His projects have been featured in international outlets such as NatGeo, News 6 Orlando in Florida, SUR Diario in Málaga, Spain, Space.com, and Vice.com. Additionally, he has been recognized at film festivals in Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, and the United States. In 2024, Hernández achieved a career milestone by publishing his first textbook, Don't Complain and Shoot, a self-help course for aspiring filmmakers.
