Biography

Omar Adair is a Mexican actor born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Graduated from the "Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes" with a bachelor's degree in "Artes Escénicas: Actuación" as part of the First Graduating Class, 2010 - 2014.

His interest and passion for the scenic arts started from a very young age, he started studying acting in 2004 in the "Centro de Capacitación Actoral para Televisión (C.E.C.A.T)" to then start his acting career performing in several local theater groups.

He as complemented his academic career with several workshops taught by Arturo Nava, Juliana Faesler, Antonio Peñuñuri, José Alberto Gallardo, Ramón Cadaval, Sergio Tovar Velarde, Juan Cisneros, Mauricio Cedeño and others.

In his never ending quest of professional growth and development Omar Adair decided to move to Mexico city in 2015. Is Richard Viqueira along Jesús Jiménez and the dramatist Jaime Chabaud who opens the doors to his first play in the city, "Anamnesis", in the theater "Orientación" within the "Centro cultural del bosque".

He has performed as an actor working with directors such as Fernando Sariñana, Richard Viqueira, Fernando Urdapilleta, José Alberto Gallardo, Rodolfo Guerrero, Sergio Tovar Velarde, Javier Fox, Ariel Winograd, Antonio Peñuñuri, Danna Stella Aguilar Murrieta, among others.

Known for his roles in movies such as "¿Y cómo es él?" directed by Ariel Winograd and produced by Eugenio Derbez and Ben Odell, "Cadáver exquisito" directed by Sergio Tovar Velarde. "Sick girl" directed by Jennifer Cram, "La mercancía" and "Hábitos Curiosos" both directed by Rogelio Almeida and filmed in Oklahoma, US.

He has also performed in series and tv shows such as "Madre sólo hay dos" (S3) and "Contra las cuerdas" produced by Netflix. "La Reina soy yo", "La mujer del diablo" and "Si nos dejan" for "Televisa" and "Univision". "Calígula" a free adaptation by Richard Viqueira from the original text by Albert Camus, in the TV show "Días de teatro" in "Canal 22".

Some of his top performances in theater are "Bozal" by Richard Viqueira, opening in the theater "Julio Castillo" of Mexico city, which sold out its first season in record time and achieved more than 100 plays. "Edipo Rey" by Sófocles, "Falsa Crónica de Juana la loca" by Miguel Sabido, "Siempre se muere" by Richard Viqueira, "Yo soy el rey del mambo" by Ulises Rodriguez Febles, "Dios juega videojuegos y yo soy su puto Mario Bros" by Richard Viqueira, "Devastados" by Sarah Kane, "Caricias" by Sergi Belbel, "Mucho ruido y pocas nueces" and "Hamlet" both by W. Shakespeare.

In 2014 Omar Adair was awarded "Best actor" in the 6th annual Redbud Film festival in Oklahoma, USA.
