Ali Fardi is a multilingual actor of Middle Eastern descent, raised in Amsterdam, fluent in Dutch, Farsi, English and conversational in German and Arabic. His work is increasingly recognized on the international stage, having won six Best Actor awards at prestigious film festivals worldwide.
Ali recently completed a lead role in the 2026 production Rolexbende. His recent work also includes one of the leading roles in Running Dry, directed by Hamzah Jamjoom, as well as the feature film Last Days, directed by Justin Lin, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025. He also features in the BBC series The Assassin, directed by Lisa Mulcahy.
Ali first gained national attention for his standout role in Moroccan Wedding (Netflix), directed by Johan Nijenhuis. He then became widely known to Dutch audiences for his portrayal of 'Walid' in the iconic series Good Times, Bad Times (RTL). Other credits include Superkrachten voor je hoofd, Nieuw Zeer, Wacht ff, and Flikken Rotterdam, where he showcased his range across comedy and drama.
