Mr. Mohanad Diab is an independent filmmaker and occupies the position of Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Visual Documentation. He has a film library that exceeded 100 documentaries over the past years. It embodies various developmental social issues which are consistent with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030. These films have awarded many local, Arab, and international awards and participated in various major festivals. These works were the result of Mr. Diab's local/international academic and professional experiences in the media and cinema fields, which lasted for more than twenty years.

And through his work in the Ministry of Social Solidarity, he contributed, through his artistic vision to summarizing developmental social issues and translating them into an interesting visual image, despite dealing with the issues of marginalized groups in the Egyptian society. His work was also shown in important presidential celebrations of Women ideal mothers and the disabled.

Mr. Diab has also undertaken a number of missions to document some important events, which were widely praised by international organizations and at all levels. Among the most prominent of it was his participation in the climate summit - COP 27 in November 2022, and the related screening of a documentary film on the achievements of civil society in Egypt and its role in the file of preserving the environment and climate change historically, and also being responsible for the media documentation of the Egyptian mission from the Hajj of NGOs under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity for the year 2023.

Over the course of Mr. Diab's career, he worked with a group of important international development organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme, the International Labor Organization, the UNWomen, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, DROSOS International, and the Royal Dutch "Visio" Foundation, by directing short documentaries that represent various developmental issues.

He directed many films in the United States of America, Europe, and a number of African countries. Among his most important cinematic documentaries are Mastoura - Hayyat Tahra - Hayyat Kamla. His latest one is the film "Nour Aini - The Light in My Eyes", which presents a number of issues of concern to people with visual disabilities, including the empowerment, the assistive devices, the inclusion and the daily activities. It was filmed in seven countries including Egypt, the Netherlands, Palestine, South Africa, Botswana, Uganda and Ghana.

Finally, as a result of Mr. Diab's professional career, he was named a pioneer of feminist art and development artist, in addition to being assigned to head the Working Women's festival in Egypt - February 2023. He has also developed a simplified curriculum for cinematic language sciences through mind-mapping techniques and was able to train on it in a number of universities and film workshops on the side-lines of festivals inside Egypt and abroad. Moreover, Mr Diab is currently working on developing his first long fictional work, which touches the human and social dimension in clear way.
